Position: Quality Inspector 
Department: Quality 
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm 
Starting Rate: $16.50 per hour 

Job Summary:
This role involves interpreting customer specifications, conducting inspections, and ensuring that products meet quality standards and comply with procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting Specifications: Carefully interpret customer drawings and specifications, ensuring strict adherence to written instructions.
  • Quality Inspections: Perform visual inspections and measurement tests to verify that products meet specified requirements and procedures.
  • Documentation: Accurately document inspection results and promptly report any non-conformance issues to the manufacturing supervisor.
  • Certification Maintenance: Maintain necessary certifications, such as ANSI-J-STD solder certification, as required.
  • Auditing Assistance: Assist quality and engineering personnel with auditing functions and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting information and providing constructive feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Standards: Preferably familiar with ISO 9001/AS9100 D standards.
  •  ANSI-J-STD solder certification is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints or schematics.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Focus and Mechanical Skills: Must be able to focus on identifying flaws or deficiencies in finished products or materials. Basic math is essential for measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications in quality control testing.
  • Other Requirements: Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints; using calipers, micrometers, rulers, gauges, and other measurement tools. Performing different inspections, such as receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

Required Education and Experience: 
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years of manufacturing or quality experience in a military manufacturing environment.
